Welcome!

The Bucknell Biology Museum Greenhouse is a 1,800 square foot rooftop greenhouse on the fourth floor of the Biology wing of Rooke Hall. The greenhouse was built in 1992 but the collection is much older and dates back to the 1940s.  To this day, the greenhouse maintains a large and diverse collection of plants from a variety of climates.  The greenhouse is organized by ecosystem including desert, freshwater wetlands, and tropical and temperate forests offering a wide array of plants to study.  The biology department as well as departments across campus use the greenhouse and its plants to help facilitate class learning and discussions.

The greenhouse is open to the public Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm year round. Occasionally it will be closed during normal hours for holidays and maintenance. All visitors are welcome to tour the space and enjoy convenient seating options throughout the museum.  For more information on greenhouse hours, location, and parking, please click on the Visit page above.
